Our Story
MAGNETHERM Inc is a mobile calibration laboratory and equipment sales company serving the manufacturing industry. built around the needs and requirements of food and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. We are veteran owned and operated with a focus on serving needs.
MAGNETHERM Inc was formed by Jason Conaway out of his scale and weighing equipment company he formed in 2002. While Jason was performing service on the scales at several of the facilities where he was working, he started getting requests to calibrate other equipment as well. Jason resisted at first, but when several customers had the same request for certifying metal detectors and a few were literally begging him to perform the service he finally promised to look into it. Well, he did look into it. Jason became educated on metal detectors and applied his industry knowledge of calibration, equipment service, and customer service to the equation and created what is now MAGNETHERM’S metal detector certification procedure. It was rare for a company to handle scales and metal detection equipment, but it's what the clients needed. The next need to surface was the need to calibrate thermometers. Jason was asked again to calibrate the
temperature-measuring devices at the client’s facilities. Once again it was several clients asking at the same time. Jason responded by adding thermometer calibration to the service offering. In 2012 The name MAGNETHERM came forth from the merging of Magnet which metal detectors operate off a sophisticated electromagnet and Therm which is short for thermometer. The combination of the two words magnet & therm became MAGNETHERM. MAGNETHERM and the scale company had different visions and missions, so Jason and his partners decided to part ways. The partners kept the scale company and Jason formed MAGNETHERM as a sole prop company in July of 2013. Both businesses are successful and continue to grow and serve their client bases. MAGNETHERM became focused on a handful of clients in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
These companies had many equipment needs. One by one, another device type was added to the offering, then another. Our offering is built completely out of serving our client’s needs, especially in the food and pharma manufacturing facilities. We genuinely care about people and their needs as well as the needs of the facilities where they work. We serve people and businesses with care. One of our core values is People First. This business has been built and will continue to be built by investing in relationships. The main vehicle for this is the serving of needs. Because of this we are continually working on and improving and innovating our process to serve our friends and clients even better. We also are growing our support staff and service staff to take our unique offering to a larger base as we expand through Southern California.
